For the First Time, Voters Who Chose Email Delivery Also Received Their Official Sample Ballot Electronically

SANFORD, Fla. (August 3, 2026) — Sample ballots are in the mail and arriving this week in mailboxes across Seminole County ahead of the August 18 Primary Election, giving voters the opportunity to review candidates and contests before casting their ballot. Paper sample ballots were mailed today to all registered voters who have not requested a Vote-by-Mail ballot.

This election also marks the first time the Seminole County Supervisor of Elections Office has delivered official sample ballots by email to voters who previously selected that option when completing or updating their voter registration.

Although Florida added an email sample ballot option to the voter registration application more than a decade ago, the August 2026 Primary Election is the first time Seminole County has implemented the service. The email delivery is an added convenience and does not replace the paper sample ballot. Voters who selected the email option receive both a paper sample ballot by mail and by email.

“Reviewing your sample ballot before you vote is one of the best ways to prepare for Election Day,” said Seminole County Supervisor of Elections Amy Pennock. “Whether it arrives in your mailbox, your inbox, or you view it online, your personalized sample ballot gives you the opportunity to review your choices, research candidates and issues, and make a voting plan before casting your ballot. We’re excited to offer voters another convenient way to stay informed and election-ready.”

Reviewing your sample ballot before voting allows you to:

• Review candidates and contests before Election Day.
• Research candidates and ballot measures at your own pace.
• Make a voting plan before heading to the polls.
• Save time by arriving prepared.
• Access your personalized ballot from your computer or mobile device.

Voters who would like to receive their sample ballot by email for this election should contact the Seminole County Supervisor of Elections Office at 407-585-8683 for assistance.

As always, personalized sample ballots are also available online at VoteSeminole.gov.  Click on the “What’s on My Ballot?” box on the homepage or visit the My Voter Record page to securely access your personalized sample ballot and other voter information.

Voters are also encouraged to visit VoteSeminole.gov to:

• Verify their voter registration information.
• View their personalized sample ballot.
• Confirm their assigned Election Day polling place.
• Explore the County’s new Interactive Precinct Map to locate their Election Day polling place and Early Voting sites.

The deadline to request a Vote-by-Mail ballot is 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 6.

Early Voting in Seminole County will be held August 8–15.

And Election Day is Tuesday, August 18.
