High School Voter Registration
We work closely with Seminole County high schools to register and pre-register students to vote, starting at age 16. Our office has received international recognition for its success in engaging young voters and supporting civic education. Sunshine State Young Readers Award (SSYRA) Elections
For more than a decade, we’ve partnered with local schools to provide elementary and middle school students a real voting experience through the SSYRA Elections. Students who read three or more books from the Sunshine State list get to cast a ballot for their favorite title using real voting booths, paper ballots, and tabulation machines.
