The Seminole County Supervisor of Elections Office visited Lyman High School to help conduct their Student Government Association (SGA) election for the second year in a row with hundreds turning out to cast their ballot and choose who they want to represent them next year. 541 ballots were cast as students were able to take advantage of the polls being open during their respective lunch periods. 15 students also became pre-registered or registered voters.
"Another successful election," said Kyndle Cobb, Seminole County Elections Public Information Officer. "These events are what make this office so special. Having the ability to partner with our Seminole County Public Schools to provide voter registration drives and conduct elections like this one creates an experience for our students that is second to none."
SGA elections, along with the Sunshine State Young Readers elections, and any other community event which features our voting equipment continue to show the voters of Seminole County that their vote is safe, secure, and accurate, 100% of the time.
Our office would like to extend its sincerest thanks to Lyman's SGA Advisor, Dr. Robert Hovel for his incredible work in coordinating this event with us.
